Use as a seasoning for salads, tomatoes, sprinkle za'atar over cheeses - feta, mozzarella or goats cheese - best if fried in oil first then poured over to get the most from the thyme. Season fillets of fish or chicken before grilling, baking or roasting. Stir za'atar into mashed potato, bread mixes, chickpeas or rice. Use as a fragrant seasoning for barbequed meats or vegetables.
