Coconut chutney is a popular choice with many South Asian
dishes and is one of the easiest chutneys to prepare. It has a
lovely sweet flavour and an (often welcomed!) cooling effect when eaten with the hotter curries.

You Need:50g desiccated coconut, sugar
1 lime, 120g of natural yoghurt

kit contents: coriander leaf, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, shrimp powder (dried shrimp, salt, cornflour), ground cardamom.birds eye chillies. curry leaves.

preparation time: 30 minutes soaking time + 5 minutes to make

heat rating: 1/5 (more with all the chillies!)

good with: cochin curry, keralan fish curry, opor ayam, xacutti,

makes 1 jar of chutney (enough for 8-10 servings)
