chilli powderchilli powder

origin: India
heat: 7/10

A blended chilli powder made from fairly hot Indian chillies to give a useful, finely ground powder that can be used either raw to finish a dish or in a dressing or seasoning, or cooked into a slow-cooked dish. The powder has more chilli pungency than cayenne but either can be used interchangeably.

uses: Use in a dry seasoning or marinade. Add a pinch of chilli powder to virtually anything from scambled eggs to pieces of fruit!
good with: lemon, olive oil, garlic, cloves, allspice.
