Recently brought to mainstream attention in Rick Steins recent tv series, kampot pepper was famed for decades as one of the finest peppers anywhere in the world. Production virtually stopped during the government of Pol Pot and kampot pepper was slowly forgotten.

The pepper has a fantastic fresh taste with little of that musky scent you often find in black pepper. It has a lovely bright, fruity flavour that's deceptively hot.

uses: Use in place of black pepper, particularly with seafood.
