Dried basil leaves are useful for slow-cooked dishes or sauces. Once the herb is dried, it lacks the beautiful heady scent and clove-like flavour of the fresh leaf but adds a deep and pungent flavour. Not suitable for salads or any dish where little or no cooking is involved, the flavour of dried basil is really good in a slow-cooked soup, stew or sauce.
USES: Add a pinch to tomato sauces, stews, braised meats or soups.
All our spicestore ingredients are now sold as refills and come in compostable bags (made from wood pulp), so just decant the contents into your existing spice jars or Spicery stackable tins and dispose of the bag in your compost and food waste bin!

As usual a very speedy delivery of all the items. A great company to deal with. The products themselves are very good and well packaged.
I got a subscription as a gift. The recipes are delicious and the spice blends are full of flavour.
The best place to get your spices! Wonderful quality and fast shipping.
Speedy delivery as usual. There was some things missing and they were very helpful and the items arrived next day. Great service.
Love The Spicery, have been using them for a while. Last time when they didn't have what I ordered they replaced it with something else, but didn't charge me and emailed me separately to let me know they did it. Best customer service I've had online!
First class product, I will always use the spicery
