November Spice News
How to use this month's free sample
It's always useful to get ahead for Christmas, and having a jar of this spicy dried fruit chutney in the fridge makes life easier for any home cook. It goes as well with a spread of cheese or charcuterie as it does in a sandwich, so make sure you keep a jar ready to go at any time during the festive season!
Dried Fruit Chutney Blend Recipe:
You Need:
150g dried fruit (any type such as raisins, dates, prunes, cranberries etc) - cut into bite-size pieces if large
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp vinegar (white wine or cider vinegar is best)
Method:
Boil the dried fruit with the sugar, vinegar, 200ml water, DRIED FRUIT CHUTNEY BLEND and ½ tsp salt and in a covered pan for 5 minutes or until the dried fruit has softened
Carefully blend the dried fruit mixture (including all the liquid) to a smoothish puree, adding an extra splash of water if necessary
Leave to cool before serving

This month's Spicery HQ snapshots!
Well done to Christian and Jude, who are both now qualified to drive a forklift, having passed their training with flying colours!
We're continuing to work on a range of Spicery merch, with the latest ideas being a tote bag for your supermarket shop, and a set of colourful patterned spice tins! At the moment, these are just early designs and prototypes, but keep your eyes peeled, as we hope to have these items on sale in the (hopefully not-too-distant) future!
