Carolina Reaper Chilli

5/5 from 5 Customers

Carolina reaper - current record holder of the hottest chilli crown. These chillies were originally cultivated in South Carolina by Ed 'Smokin' Currie, a grower who crossed the ghost chilli with a red habanero to produce this stunning red chilli with an absolutely insane heat level. It's hard to accurately describe the taste as the heat will quickly envelop all your senses, but if you can make it through that there is a hint of the fruit flavours present in both habanero and ghost chilli as well as a rich ripe sweetness.

Use with extreme caution!!!

Extremely hot as promised. I tried to crush it in small pieces, could not do it because i started coughing at the and of first one. I recommend using a dust mask. I have never experienced something like that. And the taste... Heat never ends :)))

More recipes would be helpful (inc a marinade recipe). would be good to be able to get this as ground powder too.
