Description | Jamaican cooking demonstrates fusion food at its very best - combining the use of European herbs, indigenous ingredients and African cooking techniques. The result is a cuisine that’s hearty, robust and full of flavour! To start the meal we’ve got sweetcorn fritters served with the Caribbean’s favourite condiment: hot pepper sauce. For the main event is the ubiquitous jerk chicken - no busy street in Kingston would be complete without its mouthwatering scent in the air. Here it’s served with rice flavoured with allspice and thyme, and cooling coleslaw on the side. To round everything off we’ve got some fruity and tangy hibiscus cheesecakes complete with a spiced butter biscuit base! |
