Dotonbori in Osaka is a food lover's paradise with numerous restaurants and izakayas (late night bars which also serve food) to get your fix. To begin we’ve got an Osaka-style okonomiyaki pancake - shredded vegetables mixed into a batter then cooked a little like a Spanish tortilla, topped with the Japanese version of brown sauce and a wasabi flavoured mayo.
Next we’ve got a spicy bowl of tantan ramen which is based on dan dan noodles, a dish from the Sichuan province of China. Finally a rich ginger soy creme caramel to cool down the chilli heat from those noodles!
