Date Night in Yangon

Myanmar is located between India, China and Thailand, and produces a cuisine that’s very distinctive, with combinations of flavours not seen anywhere else. The key flavourings are dried red chilli, ground turmeric, fish sauce, shallots and garlic. Here we've got a delicious starter of vegetable crudités and chicken wings served with a tamarind dipping sauce and tomato chutney. Next up, a soothing coconut broth known as khaut swe, topped with crispy shallots and spicy chilli oil. Finally, for dessert there's sesame bananas with a salted caramel coconut sauce. Like many Burmese meals it’s an impressive spread and one that is sure to wow your date!
