Dopiaza translates as ‘double onions’ and refers to the onions being cooked in two ways: half caramelised with the lamb and the remaining are used to form the sauce.

It’s a mild and aromatic curry (a bit like a spicy stew!) and works fantastically as a winter warmer.

Delicious!

Great job - happy spicing!

Family favourite, even the youngest loves it (especially if she gets a personal naan)

Awww, what an adventurous little cutie!

This was the free sample that came with this months box and it was SO good. It made such a beautiful curry, not one I would normally make so I really enjoyed both eating and making this! Another winner from The Spicery

Looks delicious, Mel - we're so glad to hear how much you enjoyed this month's free sample!

4/5

Slow cooked pork dopiaza, mushroom rice and home made naan.

Yum - looks great, Sophie, and we love that patterned plate!

I have made your Dopiaza several times. It's possibly one of the best curries in the book. I always use lamb but this time I tried beef as a change. It's super tasty too! But lamb is still my favourite! ;-)

We're so happy to hear how much you're loving this fragrant, mild and warming Dopiaza!

3/5

5/3/22 - nice curry but we prefer something hotter

Dopiaza is a great one for those with milder palates - if you prefer something with more of a kick, we recommend going for something with a rating of 3 or 4 chillies!
