Shopping List
  • 500g diced chicken (thighs are best)
  • 2 cloves of garlic - finely chopped
  • Fresh ginger - finely chopped to make 1 tbsp
  • 2 tomatoes - roughly chopped
  • ½ lemon
  • 50g butter
  • 170ml evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tsp sugar

Durban butter chicken with samosas, carrot sambal, pol roti rice and a chakalaka bean salad. Good fun to make but I would say the samosas do take a bit of time! Make in advance of the curry!

Easter Curry treat with the Bunnies! Durban Butter chicken with Coconut Sambol (which is so good), Aubergine with Mirchi blend, South African Samoozas, Spicy Cauliflower and basmati rice. Perfect. :-)

I just made this recipe with paneer. Wow!!!!! Amazing! I have tried many of the recipes on this site and have been greatly impressed. But this is my favourite so far.

We think this looks perfect with paneer - glad you enjoyed this rich and delicious meal!
