Fish fry is a popular dish in the coastal region of Kerala in Southern India. It’s a simple dish, often made with the local kingfish (a larger version of mackerel), coated in spices, fried until crispy (here helped by the addition of flour) and finished with the sharp tang of lemon.

I’d never cooked a fish curry before, I will be cooking this again! Absolutely fantastic and so simple. Worked really well with Bombay Potatoes and Mint Raita.
