I've purchased this set of blends several times now. They provide great flexibility in creating a wide range of dishes and they give wonderfully authentic flavours to every one. I love them.
First set of refills which arrived promptly and very well packaged. Fabulous book and set of spices which make Indian cooking so much easier. I’ve tried many Indian recipes but your set is by far the best and easiest to follow.

The complete set of Curry Legend Blend Refills arrived very quickly. They are excellent value, especially given that the free magnets and the 2026 Calendar were included. Buying in very small quantities like this makes so much sense. It means the spices are fresh. I’ve got a cupboard full of spices, many of which I’ve had for months and even years and which I’ve only used once for a particular recipe. I’ve done enough of the Curry Legend recipes now to know that I can clear this cupboard out and rely on the Curry legend blends and recipes. I’m completely hooked.

Had the curry kits for YEARS and hadn’t made for ages but now becoming a weekly thing. Turkey madras and onion bhajis are 10/10 the mirchi blend is my faveeeee

I was all set to make a Delia chicken dish for supper when a few hours before I realised I’d got Garam Marsala and Madras mixed up. Turned out I had one but actually required the other. Doh. With guests on the horizon I turned to ever faithful The Spicery and discovered that I had everything in for Butter Chicken. Menu change! Well, it was one of THE best curries we’d ever had. Seriously. All of the guests wanted seconds. My over riding thought being “why didn’t I just start with The Spicery?”. Lesson learned.

As soon as the replacement spices and updated pamphlet arrived to restock my CURRY LEGEND BOX, I dived in with the 'How to be a curry legend' book the spicery.com! .... The simplest curry with chicken, page 34!. It was delicious. So good that the morning after, I emptied the freezer of all those almost empty frozen veg bags and made yet another SIMPLEST CURRY. For my taste it was awesome. The wife however needs about 1/6th of the heat (MIRCHI BLEND) and I thought lets make a lamb mince curry (KEEMA MATAR pg. 88) but turn it into a homologen shepherds pie. Followed the easy instructions but 1/2 table spoon of mirchi blend :(, dialled up some onion bhajis (pg. 184 or the local supermarket!), basmati rice and paranthia. Presented with the rice atop the meet in a square shape as if I had turned it out of a pie dish. AWESOME thank you the spicery!

The curry legend book and spices has made me a curry legend
Ive been a chef for over 50'years and fully understand seasonings. When I started as a chef my first introduction to curry was an ornate tin of madras curry powder. One of my maxims is a recipe is a guide to create and such is the exceelent freshly blends that allows mix and match, one recipe ive developed from the blends is a curry and magic paste which is excellent when making coronation chicken and a dish called chicken Derbyshire poached chicken is covered in a rich bechamel with this blend piped on top. There are so many options to the uses of the blends but use sparingly as the are far more fragment that other blends. Bon appetit.
My go to weeknight meal fix, so easy to adapt to whatever is in the fridge. I don't know what I would do without them!
