I gave the subscription to my son in law for his birthday. He was delighted with such an unusual gift. They had friends round and he cooked dinner and it was a huge success. I’m looking forward to hearing about all the culinary adventures.

Great presentation, speedy delivery for a gift and my friend absolutely loves it! Only knocked off one star to give you 4/5 stars due to the excessive amount of cardboard packaging inside the main gift box - you guys could really cut this down and be more eco-conscious - there was about four sleeves/boxes in total - the matryoshka of meals!

Loved the potstickers, steps very well laid out. The mapo doufu was a hit, even with the tofu skeptics. Added scallion pancakes for a memorable meal.

I'm specifically reviewing the Garlic Chilli Chicken Night part of the subscription here. According to my wife and friends, it was the best curry and accompaniments that they have had for many years. I enjoyed them too. Preparation is key and lots could be prepared in advance meaning that I did not spend all evening in the kitchen. Brilliant.

Mexican Pork in Red Mole sauce...muy picante y con mucho sabor! Very authentic according to my Mexican friends. Will be cooking again!
I love the way the spices come in the post. It's easy to use the shopping list to buy the ingredients and you usually don't have to find any abnormal ingredients. I found the Mole salsa was overwhelmingly spicey and have also found some of the recipes take longer than stated. Overall this is a really fun experience (we've done three rounds of three months!) thank you to everyone at the spicery!

Delicious spices to enhance end meal.
We cooked the pork in a slow cooker with the sauce. This made the meat very tender and tasty. The Salsa verde was thought to be too hot for 3 out of 4 of us We enjoyed making and eating the bunuelos
Really enjoy making the recipes. The shopping lists save working out what is needed and just love the various spice packets that save so much time. The quantities suggested are generous enough for seconds or putting aside in the freezer for another day!
