From a region renowned for its very special pepper...

Kampot is a sleepy Cambodian city situated on the southern coast of the country. Fish is an integral part of the cuisine of the region so to start we’ve got prawn fritters known as num pa kon chien served with a sweet chilli sauce and a cabbage salad (called nyorm).

The main is Saraman curry - rich and dark with complex aromatic spices - served here with a fantastic Kampot pepper sauce to add extra zing and heat. Finally there’s an indulgent mango coconut sticky rice topped with black sesame seeds - the perfect end to an exotic date night!

Definitely one of the best date night boxes we’ve had. Sweet chilli sauce was especially delicious. Made a veggie version with grated veg instead of prawn fritters and aubergine and mushrooms in the curry. Everything complimented each other perfectly and flavours were authentic. Having lived in Cambodia it was great to ‘revisit’ again through food.

Woah everything looks perfect with so many delicious flavours- we're feeling inspired to have a go at making a veggie version ourselves! Thanks for sharing and happy spicing!

Yummy! We started with the prawn pancakes which were a real hit, I could have eaten lots of them! For main, the beef curry had lots of flavour but was not spicy until adding the chilli sauce which was seriously tasty. The sesame cabbage worked surprisingly well with the curry. The chilled rice and mango pudding waiting in the fridge rounded off the meal nicely. The perfect date night, took us right back to Siem Reap! And took less time than I thought it would.

Yum, everything looks so fresh and flavoursome! The perfect date night food to enjoy a lovely evening <3 happy spicing!

Unbelievable flavours! We were stuck in a rut either buying or making the same old chicken curry, the Spicery has pushed us to try new things and we are delighted with the end results recommending others to subscribe for a really authentic curry experience. This beef curry was exceptional and the prawn fritter starter was to die for. We are addicted!

Incredible- everything looks absolutely delicious! It's great to hear you're enjoying trying new dishes- happy spicing!

I would give this 10/5! It was so satisfying to know we have made our own sweet chilli sauce that tasted sensational. The prawn fritters were unbelievably tasty and the Norm salad with mango so refreshing and light.

Brilliant- glad you enjoyed this so much! We're loving the pretty patterned crockery too!
