Groundnut (peanut) curry, or nkatenkwan, is a rich and spicy dish, a favourite of our Gifty’s from her home country of Ghana on the west coast of Africa. Lots of West African food is accompanied by a fiery chilli sauce on the side to liven everything up. All that’s needed is some plain rice and coleslaw or salad to complete the meal.

Made for a birthday dinner- the best curry my guests had ever had! Absolutely incredible flavours, topped off with Ghanaian coconut salad with roasted corn and The Spicery Pink Lemonade was also amazing. Love love love.

Great work, sounds like a proper Spicery feast!

The curry was nice but not as good as some of the Spicery curries we have tried the chilli sauce did elevate the dish.

Sorry to hear that this wasn't one of your favourites, Alice - but we're glad you enjoyed the curry nonetheless, and that the chilli sauce added some heat to the meal!

4/5

Absolutely the best beef curry I’ve ever had. It’s totally worth the time to let the beef get lovely and tender. It’s warm and deep and spicy without being too hot. That’s what the chilli sauce is for but I’ve no idea who in their right mind could take the eye watering fire it brings.

Yep, that chilli sauce is lethal... but we're so pleased to hear how much you loved this rich, nutty curry! Happy spicing!
