  • 1 large chicken
  • 1kg sweet potatoes
  • 300g kale or spring greens
  • 2 bunches of spring onions
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 198g tin of sweetcorn
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 medium mango (or 200g ready-prepared)
  • 1 lime
  • 1 egg (any size)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (any type)
  • 60ml vinegar (white wine or cider vinegar is best)
  • 70g plus 2 tbsp self-raising flour
  • 40g sugar (dark brown is best)
  • Oil for frying (sunflower or vegetable oil is best)

This was great! I loved making the festivals and the brown stew gravy was really lovely, in fact all the elements were delicious. I’d definitely make this again. My only issue is that the prep took longer than the box suggested but that may have been me being very slow :)

Glad you enjoyed this delicious spicebox - we have to agree the fried dumplings are so good they taste like a festival in our mouth!
