Pakora are the vegetable cousin of onion bhajis.

All manner of ingredients can be used - in Scotland it’s even been known to use haggis! 

Shopping List
  • 175g root veg (e.g carrot, parsnip, sweet potato, beetroot etc) - peeled then grated
  • 2 green chillies - thinly sliced (seeds removed if you’d prefer less heat)
  • 80g plain flour or us gram (chickpea) flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder (optional)
  • Oil for frying (sunflower or vegetable oil is best)

Spicery amazing freebies through the years! Beer Bhajis from 2016, Caribbean Mango Chutney from 2018 and right up-to-date with Spring vegetable pakoras. Delicious accompaniments to a simple curry - yum!
