  • 500g lamb or beef mince (higher fat content is best!)
  • 1 aubergine
  • 1 red onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • ½ cucumber
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 pepper (any colour)
  • 25g bunch of parsley
  • 300g ready-cooked beetroot (not in vinegar)
  • 2 lemons
  • 150g natural yogurt (full fat is best)
  • 30g breadcrumbs
  • 35g honey
  • 60g almonds, hazelnuts or pistachios
  • 50g pitted olives (any type) (optional)
  • 400g tin of tomatoes
  • ½ tsp dried yeast
  • 200g plain flour (plus extra for rolling)
  • 90ml extra virgin olive oil
  • Rice to serve (optional)

Absolutely delicious - aubergine was cooked so well, and in combination with the lamb was so nice. The beetroot salad was fab and there wasn’t a dud dish in the kit.

Absolutely yummy. All the flavours were tasty and even the salads were exciting. Was cautious about using honey as I don't have a sweet tooth but the flaour enhanced the food well. Thank you

Underwhelming kebabs, which were curiously much nicer cold the next day. Have made nicer with less effort. Beetroot salad and Garlic sauce were excellent, the remainder was forgettable.

So glad to hear you enjoyed the beetroot salad and the garlic sauce, Katie. We're very sorry you didn't like the kebabs as much (often heavily spiced meals will taste better the next day as the flavours have had more time to infuse the dish) - we'll take another look at this recipe!
