The streets of Bangkok are a sensory overload, and they’re packed with some of the tastiest food in the world! Fragrant herbs such as kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass combine with dried Indian spices including turmeric, coriander and cumin and finally ferocious chillies to complete the heady mix of flavours. To begin we’ve got an iconic Thai dish - fish cakes served with a sweet chilli sauce and a tangy salad. For the main event the more unusual khao mok gai, a Thai-Muslim biryani which translates as ‘rice bury chicken’ served with a tangy mint nam prik on the side.

Stunning dish! We loved everything about it!

Looking like a proud chef- everything looks fantastic! Amazing artwork too, cheers!

4/5

Loved the little fishcakes. Soft but with a bite, tangy and the rice was a surprise! Creamy, fragrant, subtle spice - I could eat it for days!

YUM these look like fantastically fragrant fish cakes! We're loving the frozen strawberry tipple to wash it all down with too!

4/5

I made the fish cakes with cod and they went down well with the family. I was a bit uncertain about using vietnamese fish sauce (which has a vague odour of old socks) instead of thai but the flavour was excellent. The Khoa Mok Gai was an instant hit. "You must make this again" and then later "have you managed to order another kit for that thing we had the other night?"

Brilliant- we're happy to hear this fragrant and tangy dish is a firm family favourite!

5/5

So many flavours, definitely would be making the Khao Mok Gai again

YUM looks like a fantastic and fragrant combination of flavours, hats off to the chef!

The fish cakes were not nearly as good as other Thai fish cakes I have made although everyone ate them happily however we all agreed that the chicken and rice of the Khao Mok Gai were really not nice at all. Disappointing.

We're so sorry to hear this wasn't a favourite! We've had some great feedback about this box, I have passed your feedback on to the recipe developers and in the meantime if you get in touch with us via email, we can arrange sending you another box you might prefer!

These recipes are not at all good. I followed the recipe instructions and it turned out not tasting of anything. Stay away from this dish, to the designers of the recipes I say this needs a lot of work. Usually you are more than spot on. 4/5. But as stated with this one. 1/5.

We're so sorry to hear you didn't enjoy this one, if you get in touch with us via email we can arrange sending you something else you might prefer!

Tasty and not too difficult to make. Loved the Khoa Mok Gai - definitely worth doing it with jasmine rice!

Nothing beats a delicious meal that's really easy to make - looks like you did a great job on the cakes!
