Tofu Gulai Curry with Kecap Sauce
Aromatic Indonesian flavours in this rich tofu curry…
Gulai is an Indonesian word for a coconut curry commonly found in Indonesia and Malaysia. Here this tofu version is served with two of Indonesia’s favourite table sauces; firstly, a chilli sauce - which, unlike most chill sambals, is uncooked - and kecap manis, a sweet and sticky soy sauce used throughout Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
We’re serving it with lemongrass-flavoured rice, a cabbage and cucumber salad called kerabu and fried eggs (which are hugely popular in Indonesia and appear with fried rice, noodle dishes and more!).
