Fenugreek emits a pungent, sweet earthy scent immediately reminiscent of curry. The seeds have a slightly bitter aftertaste but toasting them reduces the bitterness and increases the sweetness - in fact, roasted fenugreek seeds are used in the manufacture of artificial maple syrup. Whole seeds are very hard so are usually used crushed or ground.

USES: Crush and then rub all over lamb to be roasted for a stunning scent and flavour.

Service always excellent but I find the new layout a bit confusing and not as easy to find things. Took me some time to actually find the order section with all the other stuff coming up.
A difficult spice to find except in some up market grocers. And then the tiny bottles haven't been stored well and the spices are not fresh. With the spicery, you will find the freshest and most aromatic spices to give your dishes the right amount of oomph!
Good fenugreek, not too bitter.
Will continue to be a customer of the Spicery as I rate the quality of their product far superior to what I'd find in the supermarket.

This company is just perfect. Everything you need when you've never heard of a certain product or can't find it in the supermarket. In fact, now I have found the spicery the shelf products just won't do anyway. The choice of spices and the choice of how you want them is vast - whole, crushed, ground etc.... I placed an order between christmas and new year so expected a delay on delivery but my package arrived straight away. And what a package it was - it was like opening another christmas present because it was so beautifully done. Touches like that make all the difference to ones shoppping experience. I would absolutely reccommend using the spicery because as well as excelling in choice, delivery speed and packing they are really, really good value too. Just brilliant!

Really fresh spices and good prices, especially like being able to buy only a small amount-no more bottles of dust in the spice cupboard! Letterbox size packages are fab and free postage too.
