This was a total winner for our family. We love Japanese and Mexican food but had never thought that crossover would be so delicious! Had run out of pickled ginger so we made our own which was a game changer, so easy and so worth it.
Fantastic book, easy to follow and delicious food made by our teenagers for New Year’s Eve- Enchiladas Christmas style and Taco Salad
Great job, guys! We hope you love discovering loads of delicious new dishes from the Taco Legend World Tour book!
Such a simple and refreshing side for any rich Mexican meal. We had this with chilli colorado and it was the perfect complement. As bright and happy as it was fragrant and uplifting. Yum. Thanks guys.
Nice! Looks like you guys are celebrating Twixmas in style!
Wowee. This is a seriously good pie and the first time I have ever cooked with polenta. I wasn't even sure how this dish would work as a pie but it certainly does work. A fabulous topping for a heartwarming dish. Love it. Chilli Pie what a creative winner. Thank you guys. Winter is actually quite nice with dishes like this.
This looks fantastic, Debbie - certainly the kind of dish you want to warm you up during the winter months! Great to hear how much you enjoyed your first experience of cooking with polenta and its unusual but delicious texture. Happy spicing!
Yum, Rich and delicious. The perfect comfort food. We really enjoyed this dish. Thank you Spicery Team. Always fun to create and rewarding to eat. You have transformed our dinner times beyond anthing we could ever have imagined.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind review, Deborah! Your stacked enchiladas look absolutely delicious, and we're so pleased to hear how much our recipes have transformed dinnertime for you!
This was so good! I put off making it for ages as the idea of a pie and the long list of ingredients had me worried that it would be hard work but that wasn't the case at all! Super simple, super quick prep and supe tasty! The biscuity roof was a lovely treat!
It makes us hap-pie to hear that you really enjoyed this terrific Tamale pie!
I made this for our dinner tonight. I stuck exactly to the recipe as my wife tend to be a bit cautious. Her comment was. (That was great we can have it again. 10/10. But next time can we try a few onions and pepper in please. Sorry I forgot to take a final picture
It's great to hear you both really enjoyed these brilliant quesadillas!
We used rib eye for our beef fajitas. We could have cooked our steak for a couple if minutes less but it was still tender and juicy so we definitely got away with it.
Yum! These look like brilliant beef fajitas - glad you both really enjoyed them!
The Tamale Pie recipe from the Taco Legend World Tour book is incredibly tasty and unique. The blend of spices in the mince combined with the soft-yet-crispy cheesy polenta topping was a revelation! We had it with the recommended sides of Guacamole Salad and Corn Salsa which was perfecto ¡Muy delicioso! Added margaritas and some Mexican music made this a very memorable date date.
Yum! Sounds like a fantastic fiesta!
Just got this book and so far I've only read it from start to finish a couple of times. I'm impressed with the narratives and the variety of the meals and snacks. I'll shortly be trying a few recipes and I cannot wait to taste the flavours.
Thanks for your great review - we hope you enjoy the flavours and can't wait to see your spec-taco-ular creations!
Delicious and spicey. Grabbing these to take out for picnic.
Perfect for an al fresco picnic!
The most amazing Chili. Made ours with pork and added some crunchy tortillas!!
Yum! This looks like a spec-taco-ular chile - especially with tortillas!
Made this using Pork Shoulder and Black Beans. Had it with Cornbread and Corn Salsa, delicious!!
Looks like a spec-taco-ular meal, Catherine!
I was super fascinated by a Mexican/Japanese fusion, both styles I love and they combined for just the most amazing meal! Brilliant variation on Rice (wholegrain sushi) and Mince (Chipotle AND Soy Sauce? - winning). Will be having plenty more times again
It's fantastic to hear how much you enjoyed this fragrant fusion meal!
Tamale Pie and corn salsa from #tacolegendworldtour The cheesy corn topping was lovely and made an interesting change from potato topping.
Wow! This looks like a spec-taco-ular meal - glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely, colourful side dish to our Sunday Dinner. Added vibrance and flavour to traditional potatoes and veg. Would recommend a little Mexican to any meal - plus great use of leftover red cabbage!
It's great you enjoyed this vibrant slaw!
Yee-Haw! This made a great addition to Fajita night. Full of varied flavours and nutritional goodness, and miminal effort required. The onion marinated in lime and spices is refreshingly delicious!
Howdy there! This delicious dish makes us feel like we've just touched down in Houston!
Has brightened up my dreary February. I am a keen home cook, but had been going through a rut, bored of my own ideas and blends. I treated myself to the Taco Legend kit in the January sale, and the past week has been one culinary triumph after another, with others in the household commenting, "put that on the favourites list!" after just about every meal (used some sacred Venison mince in the Tamale pie, oof, lovely). Thank you, the Spicery, for reawakening my enthusiasm! Not only are the recipes great, by the way, the design of the book is gorgeous (so thoughtful to include bookmarks, very much needed!) and it is also fun to read - I love the cuisine of South America, but this book has so much more to discover, and the photos of your team's research trips make everything come to life: I love it!
Thanks for your fantastic feedback, Joanna! It's great to hear that everyone is enjoying the recipes - we'd love to see your Spicery creations on our Wall of Fame!
This dish is so quick and easy to make. So tasty . Love these books
YUM! This looks spec-taco-ular!
